Celebrate the season with a one-of-a-kind holiday experience. The Yuletide tour at Winterthur showcases rooms in Henry Francis du Pont’s former home decorated in full holiday splendor, including specialty decorated trees that celebrate the garden, and du Pont family traditions. The displays are inspired by the traditions and festivities of the season as enjoyed by H. F. du Pont and his family. 

Featuring two distinctly designed and equally breathtaking trees showcasing exquisitely dried flowers, this year’s Yuletide Tour explores the traditions and festivities of the season enjoyed by the family during Henry Francis du Pont’s lifetime. See decorations that emphasize his lifelong love of nature and the Winterthur Garden and an homage to the upcoming exhibition Jacqueline Kennedy and Henry Francis du Pont: From Winterthur to the White House.

Net proceeds benefit our scholarship fund.  You may make an additional donation to our scholarship fund at checkout.  If you are unable to attend, you can still make a donation.  

We will meet at the CONSERVATORY at 12:30pm as we have one group reservation beginning at 1pm.

Additional information

• Please plan to arrive 30 prior to your tour time. This allows enough time to park and check-in at the Visitor Center. Please note that if you are late, you will not be accommodated at the time reserved.  
• Yuletide tours will depart from the Conservatory. A shuttle or tram will bring you near the Conservatory for a short walk to the entrance. Please wait outside and staff will open the door when it is our time for our tour.
• Please dress for the weather.
• Please note: capacity limitations require to only allow entry for tours in small groups every 10 minutes. As a result, your tour time may vary slightly from what is reserved. We thank you for your patience.
• Bag and coat checks are not available at the Conservatory. We recommend leaving any personal items that you do not wish to carry locked in your car. Lockers are also available free of charge in the Galleries Reception Atrium (a 2-3 minute walk from the Conservatory).
